In Honor Of ARMY SPC. Genaro Acosta
My brother ARMY SPC. Genaro Acosta was a soldier based in Fort Hood Texas.
He had been in the Army since 2000. Genaro was deployed to Iraq in April of 2003.
He celebrated his 26th birthday in Iraq. In October of 2003 he re-enlisted. He also was asked if
he would like to come home for the holidays. He said no because good byes are to hard to
say. On November 11, 2003 Genaro detonated 2 roadside bombs in Taji, Iraq and was killed
instantly. On December 13 of 2003 his comrades from Fort Hood, captured Saddam Hussein.
Genaro was a loving father, beloved son, great brother, and an good husband. We are very
grateful for the short time we had but we will cherish it forever!
