Brown Thursday, July 31 2008 @ 01:55 PM EDT Contributed by: River97 Views:: 320 Killeen Daily Herald -- Defense Department officials announced Tuesday the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. Spc. Seteria L. Brown, 22, of Orlando, Fla., died July 25 in Sharana, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained in a non-combat-related incident. She was assigned to the 62nd Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade, Fort Hood. Brown entered the military in July 2004 as a food service specialist and was assigned to the 62nd Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade, since February 2008. Brown deployed to Afghanistan in April 2008. Brown's decorations and awards include the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon.
