In Honor Of LCPL Pedro Contreras

Lance Corporal Pedro Contreras, 2/4 Marines, Operation
Iraqi Freedom. Sniper Team that had four KIAs on June 21, 2004. With
LCPL Deshon Otey, LCPL Juan Lopez and CPL Tommy Parker Jr. Insurgents
killed them and stripped them of their weapons- two sniper rifles, four
M16A4s and a radio and thermal sight. Marine Sipers from 3rd Battalion,
5th Marine Regiment shot and killed an insurgent sniper and spotter
preparing to shoot at passing Marines, June 16, 2006. And the insurgents
were going to use a stolen Marine sniper rifle for the attack. That
rifle- an M40A1 belonged to the "Magnificent Bastards" of 2/4. Story in
Marine Corps News June 22, 2006. Christmas in Arlington... Rest easy, sleep
well my brother. Know the line has held, your job is done. Rest easy,
sleep well. Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held.
