In Honor Of Ssgt Carletta S. Davis
As the time goes and the members of Carletta stands
firm in my heart, I look for ways to help others make a brand new start.
In my church family and on the streets.  All through the day I pray for
peace.  Peace in my mind, heart and soul.  For those to come to build
a relationship with God through his sone Jesus Christ.  For all the
wrong or rights we will have to fight.  We just know to do what carletta
did, stood up for what she knew to be right.  She serviced her country
with all her might.  We love her eternity because we of us that know the
promises will see her in the new heaven and celebrate the love that
God has make.  Thank you for this time to share my thoughts to those that
really care.
Sincerely
Lavada

April 2016, 27 in the middle of a good weather day I find my face wet. The thoughts of my
daughter so near brings tears of joy over these years, seeing my grandsons growing into
young men.  They remember the lessons of virtue, loyalty and family.. With room to grow.. I
want people to know things are going to be alright, with the souls that met our God, for the
father gave us that gift. For when things looks its darkest that's when God is working
things out in our favor.  TTT knows what it is let to be held in the hands of God. I Love all my
children deeper than they will ever know. While I'm on this side of life I pray God direct,
protect, and open eyes spiritual eyes of those that love the lord. Carletta s Davis will never be
forgotten. She did what Jesus said to do. Sincerely with prayers

2016 came as fast as 2007 left.  Left me with a cradle of thoughts moving across me vision in
slow motion. Tall dark and handsome is how I describe my grandsons. Looking into their eyes
seeing the lost of their mom.  Hurts like a bee sting never taking the sticker out. Looking for a
place for peace to stop thinking what could should may have been.  There are grown I'm gotten
older my life dream is to build the bed and breakfast to lay her medals and all the thank you
gifts sent far and near here in Washington state

September 2015 may be a long time for some people thinking about what happen November 5
, 2007, Just yesterday for me.  The visions in my head swims like gold fish in a bowl.  Of things
said and done prior to the KIA day of Ssgt Carletta S Davis to many, yet still my first born
child.  I try to turn off the tears, when remembers are so strong, seeing photos, smelling smells
that remind me of our fun times cookouts, much was not said, but much felt in love toward
children with hugs and kisses,  taps on the shoulders, with a smile in the eyes and lips. She is
missed!!!!

I met you SSG Carletta Davis in Korea in 2002 and we stayed in touch afterwards.  I spoke to
you briefly before you deployed in 2007 and I hit you up on email to say hi and if all was well
over in Iraq. I never got a response and one day while in class, I opened up the Army Times
and there was your picture. I was in total shock and disbelief.  You were the first medic that I
have come across in my military career at that time that I knew was a squared away NCO.
Throughout the years at different times I began to think of you my friend. It was an honor to
provide you advice on different Soldier and personal issues; but more importantly it was an
honor for me to be a friend of yours. I can't believe it's been almost eight years since God has
called you home and ever since, I do my best to make time for my friends because life is too
short.  May God continue to watch over your kids and family. Until we meet again, you are
missed, but NEVER forgotten!!!

March 1, 2014  Time is not a healer.  Its only a continuing gate of memory of the Love and
hurts as life goes on.  Naming a buildings after my daughters because of her good deeds
during the Iraq war is an honor.  Many of my friends will remember this, so will I.  In the
struggle to bring about good changes, barriers because of some sort of bias still exist.  Yet I
will continue.  I think and remember SSGT Carletta S. Davis.  She always wanted to help
people and make life better for everyone around her.  She would forgive people for every
wrong thing that had done to her.  I Loved her forever.  In saying that I love my other children
just as much.  Now there are living their lives as best and pray for every experience they have
will help them to keep growing and to remember their Sister forever in a good light and do the
right things by people, even when their actions are wrong.  May God bless and keep readers
on the right path.
Sincerely
With Love

Six Years seems like yesterday, I was just talking to Carletta about making a sweet potato pie.
She laughed even in her speaking over the phone.  I miss her, even through  we lived apart.
Now I live in the city where she spent twelve years and I have even spoke to some of her
friends  I thank those who help keep her memories alive.  I have started a construction
business in pierce county and hope to house some of the homeless through our effort to
place affordable homes back into the housing market.  My Grandsons are doing well and
Thomas is too.  I am so pride of my grandsons living up to the standards Carletta taught them.
Just remember Freedom is not free she gave all she had.
Respectfully Submitted

Carletta was my best friend and I miss her so much.  Every day I remember her and the great
times we had together.  I hope her boys always remember how much she loved them.  The
one thing I will always remember about her is how much she loved what did and how much
pride she took in teaching her soldiers to be the best they could be.  She taught me so much in
the little time we had together. Carletta will always be in my thoughts.  Hope her family is doing
well.

Five years ago my daughter was killed in Iraq  protecting me and every person in the USA. and
after all that a 28 year old Samoa male dis respected me at Chet's Place in Bremerton Wa.  I
became anger and asked him to leave the business.  I only thought of my daughter losing her
life for someone that do not want to participate in society in a respectful way.  Of course I had
to spend money to place a restraining order against that under educated person.  Waste tax
payers money all because someone did not raise this person to respect elders or anyone.  I
can only pray that this action keep him from hurting others with his nasty verbal threats and
anyone in the future.  Sincerely

May 28, 2012 Anchorage Alaska Tribute to the Anchorage Soldiers included Carletta.
Althrough you parted November 5th 2007, it feels as if you were standing at the DELANEY
PARK strip with Thousands of WWII vet's, Iraq and all of the wars we've had since.  I thanks as
many Vets' as I could with out breaking down and crying.  When I see the fragments of families
honoring their loved ones it hurt my heart to know so many loses and we are still fighting for
our freedom.  My promises to keep alive your deeds done to make USA a free place.  There are
History lessons needed to teach old and young what You and Millons of others have done
since the beginning of the USA.  Bringing back the basics of History at home, schools and
other groups.  I hope we take the time to keep The honor for Women in the Military and how
they made a different. Love you Carletta

Guess what, SSG Davis?  I got married two years ago to one of the MP's we cared for.
Remember when I asked you if you thought that hydro cortisone would be sufficient for a kid
who had heat rash?  That's the one I married.  I miss you.  I miss your advice.  I know it's been
so long, but every once in a while I have those breakdowns.  Today is one of them.  Probably
because the memorial bracelet is soon to be a tattoo.  I know you'd hate still being idolized
much as you thought I was crazy for it when you were alive... But you truly were my idol, my
mentor.

Today is February 17, 2012 Carletta's Birthday.  Her Sons are doing well as can be done when
losing their mother.  They and I think of her every day.  She is a big lose to our family and her
friends.  I think of her so much that sometimes I feel her near.  I think of the fun times and the
phone calls when she is sharing something that the kids did and we would laugh about it and
Bring to her remembrance of her and her brother and sister doing some of the same things.
Living in Washington state and knowing that a building in Texas is going to be named after her
is an honor.  I hope to visit Texas one day. I just take one day at a time.  Writing is one of my
ways to get some ease.

SSG Davis: Although we only knew each other for a short time, I considered you as a part of
my extended family. I still think of you constantly, as I do Johnny, Derek, and Adam. As
November 5th comes close once again, the memories of the four of you fill my head. You
should know that Jasmin idolized you, and I'm doing my best to take care of her and make her
happy. I want you to know that we all still miss you, and that the memories I have of you are
with a constant smile, which tend to leave me with a smile as well. You will continue to be in
my thoughts, with your family in my prayers.

I miss you Carletta.  You taught me so much in the year we were deployed together.  Your
compassion, drive, and love for all things still amazes me.  God may have called you home, but
you made a lasting impression on many hearts.  I love you, my sister, my student, my teacher,
and my friend.

Today is December 28, 2008.  Counting the days beyond your earthy death date does not
make the pain go away.  It just pulls the scape on my wounded heart.  Talking to my
grandchildren is like medicine to ease the pain.  Writing, reading and talking about my
daughter, Carletta helps me get to a point in life to encourage others.  Encourage them to think
about what actions to take toward another. To have a steadfast Godly purpose in this life.  Not
that people build brownie points for entrance to the everlasting place, but a height of greatest
happiness right here on earth.  The world is like a Parlor of pigs.  Some of us entertained
angels and did not even know.  If you look back in your memory, conversating with Carletta
you will find the encourage thoughts she gave in Love.  She could not make the decisions for
you.  I remember listening to her sharing the evidence of her soul's place in Heaven.  Although
George Washington warned against entanglements with!
foreign countries, we all have the Grace of God covering us.  In our fickle state we covet,
cherish and value ungodly actions as if they matter with God.  Only kindness, gentleness,
Loving, patience and self-control.  Only these thing will bring your heart as pure gold through
the fire.  Look into your heart remove those things that block the true you from taking Godly,
holy actions within your community.  Just Writing a letter of Love to a senior person setting
alone in a nursing home can cheer up their day.  For they have grown weary, not like the men
now the battlefield.  They need cheering up and cheering on for they do the things we need to
fellowship as we do.  I want each person that read this tribute for Carlett
a to look inside your home find something you can give to another person and help brighten
their day.  Start paying forward.  Each one of us can make a different, these soldiers did!!!!
I Love you Carletta S. Davis and I will never forget you and the other 4500+men and women
that died on battlefield.

Sgt. Carletta S. Davis first a daughter, a niece,a sister,an aunt, a mother, a friend, a helper in
time of need, a medical professional, and a lover of God's commands.  We cannot spend all our
time on our knees, but it is possible to have a prayerful attitude at all times. We as a family of
believers in Christ "...urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God,
as the Word teaches us.  I want you to know what will happen to the Christians who have died
so you will not be full of sorrow like people who have no hope.  For since we believe that
Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus comes, God will bring
back with Jesus all the Christians who have died.  I can tell you this directly from the Lord; We
who are still living when the Lord returns will not rise to meet him ahead of those who are in
their graves.  For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout,
with the call of the arc!
Angel, and with the trumpet call of God.  First, all the Christians who have died will rise from
their graves.  Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be
caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever.  So comfort
and encourage each other with these words."  1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

I wear your memorial bracelet everyday. It's still hard
to believe you are gone. I pray that your 3 boys and Thomas find
peace. I miss you and appreciate EVERYTHING you have done for me! I am kind
of lost for words because it is still sinking in. I love you Carletta.
