province.

In Honor Of Petty Officer 2nd Class Danny P. Dietz

Petty Officer 2nd Class Danny P. Dietz, 25, of
Littelton, Colorado. Dietz was assigned to SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team Two,
Virginia Beach, Virginia. Dietz along with Lt Michael P. Murphy, 29, of
Patchogue, New York, assigned to Seal Delivery Vehicle Team One, Pearl
Harbor, Hawaii. Both died while conducting counter-terrorism operations in
Kunar Province, Afghanistan. Coalition forces located the service
members while conducting a combat search and rescue operation July 4, 2005
in Kunar Province. Both sailors whereabouts had been unknown since June
28. Lt Michael P. Murphy was posthumously awarded the Congressional
Medal of Honor for his actions in Operation Enduring Freedom.
