Hood, Texas; killed May 2 when his convoy vehicle hit an improvised explosive device in
Baghdad.

This world lost a wonderful person May 2, 2004 when
Jeremy was killed in Baghdad.  He was a good-hearted person that so many
would agree. He would do anything for someone in need and give all he
has. Even though he looked different from most, he was amazing to know.
He would put others first and always put out his best work and his goal
was to bring home his soldier buddies and serve his country to his best
ability. He saved so many over there, I have been told. Other soldiers
have told me how brave he was and he saved their lives.  But now he is
gone, I have been trying to get Kansas to do something to honor ALL
our fallen but have had no luck. Other states take care of the families
but not Kansas.  I feel ALL our soldiers deserve to receive the same
treatment and they don't. This needs to change.

Jeremy was my best friend, he was a brave, bighearted,
kind, and courageous person. He always wanted to help people and he
did. He gave his life to save our country. I miss him greatly. Rest in
Peace my brother... Till we meet again
