In Loving Honor and Memory of SFC John Michael Hennen.
Dad and I miss you more than words can express. Life is not nor will it
ever be the same for us. We are very proud of you. You grew from our
loving little boy into one of America's Heroes. May you and all of the
others before you and unfortunately to those after you rest in peace. We
all live our daily lives as we choose because of the sacrifices and
bravery of THE TRUE HEROES OF AMERICA...OUR SOLDIERS. May your words and
sentiments live forever... Pray for Peace in the Middle East. Thank you
for your ultimate sacrifice to your country and family.

My name is Jennifer Mausbach. I am from Oak Grove, Missouri and I ran in the Bataan
Death Marathon. My son Tyler Mausbach is in Air Force ROTC at Mizzou. His detachment
joined the march so I decided to go run with him. The first day when I picked up my packet
there was a table with yellow ribbons with fallen soldiers on them. I got John's ribbon and
wore it across my back so everyone could see his name. It gave the run so much meaning
for me that I was running for him. I got on the medal of honor website but I didn't get a medal
when I finished. I did want you to know that I plan on next year returning with my son to run
again. I would like to keep Johns ribbon and run in his honor. Words can't express
how sorry I am for your loss of your brave son John. I was so excited that I found this page
so I could see what he looked like and read about how much he was loved. I thank you for
sharing your son with me and look forward to carrying his honor on
for years to come.

Hey dude, sitting here in Baghdad with one of your peezo's from the old A/3-156. SFC Mejio
is my NCOIC and said to tell you hello. Miss you everyday brother and think about you
always. Sometime it hurts so bad I can hardly stand it; other times I laugh so hard
remembering, that I forget you're even gone. Tell my dad and my brother Michael I said I
love them. Keep an eye out for us. We know you do and therefore we know we're safe. Got
some e-mails from Hogue. He is doing great! I guess you know he's a new dad. I haven't
seen little man in a couple of years, but I know he's doing well.
love you brother,

It has almost been a year now since you went to be with the Lord. Mom
and Dad still hurt as much today as the day we were told of your death.
Rest in peace my angel.
