| Tributes This memorial page established by-Beth Nalley-Krabe In Honor Of Lt. Col. Eric John Kruger Lt. Col. Eric J. Kruger was killed by an IED on November 2, 2006 in Bagdad Iraq. He was a wonderful officer who really cared for his men. To us, he was an incredible part of the family who always had a smile on his face and had this way of always making you laugh! He was a great father of 2 children, and 2 step-children. He was a role model for his brother & sister, nephews, cousins, friends and family. Even though we only had him for a short while, we will remember him always as he made such an incredible mark in this world. While we feel grief and sorrow on his one-year anniversary of his death, we know that his life was doing what he loved: Being a soldier. We miss you Eric!
