Memorial Page Established By-Nola Hector
In Honor Of 2nd Lt. Ryan D. LeDuc

2nd Lt. Ryan D. LeDuc USMC was killed in Rutbah, Iraq on September 24, 2004.  Ryan was
born in Pana, IL on 11/08/75.  Parents are Nola Hector and David LeDuc.  Ryan was assigned
to the 2nd Battalion 10th Marines, 1 Force Service Support Group, 1 Marine Expeditionary
Force and was stationed at Camp Al Taqaddum, Anbar Province, Iraq  The following is quoted
from the memorial service held in Iraq by his unit.
"Lt. LeDuc loved being a Marine and he loved serving in Fox, 2/10.  He led his Marines with
moral courage and conviction, but most importantly he listened to them.  His work ethic and
selflessness were evident in the daily performance of his duties.  He will be sorley missed.  
He has left an indelible mark upon all the Marines with whom he served."

Ryan is survived by parents David LeDuc, Nola Hector, siblings Dennis Radcliff II, Kiley
Hector and Katie Hector.

I was the Marine Corps Times photographer that took the picture of Ryan at Camp Lejeune,I
only meet him that one time but he treated me with respect and was very helpful with my
photo shoot at Camp Lejeune. I am sorry to hear that he died. His family should to proud of
