| Tributes Steven Souffront In Honor Of Daniel Mclenny Hi, first off let me just say I'm am deeply sorry for your loss. My name is Steven Souffront and I was a member of third battalion 6th marines also. I roomed with a guy named Juston Thacker, the other Marine who lost his life that day. Although i wasn't present when that happened i still would like to send my condolences to you the family. God bless. He will not be forgotten R. Gene Williams Pfc.Daniel Bradley McClenney Two U. S. Marines were killed and another wounded in an attack in eastern Afghanistan, June 24, 2004. The attack occured late Thursday in Kunar, a province on the border with Pakistan. The attack took place northeast of Asadabad, which is 120 miles east of the capital, Kabul. A native of Bedford County, Pfc. McClenney was the son of the late Veda Smith McClenny and Randy McClenney of Shelbyville. He was assigned to th 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He deployed in early May of this year 2004. He was a 2003 graduate of Shelbyville Central High School, and worked for the Bedford County Co-op during and after school. He was a member of Flat Creek Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his mother, Veda Smith McClenney in 2001 |
