In Honor Of SFC Matthew I Pionk
Our son SFC Matthew I Pionk was killed in action on 1-9-08 in Sinsil Iraq in the Diyala
province. A house rigged with a bomb and crush wire killed 6 soldiers and a young Iraqy
interpreter. Matthew left behind a wife Melanie and three children Dillon, Ashley and Brandon.
God Bless them and we thank all of our fallen for their ultimate sacrifice for our great nation.

explosive device detonated during combat operations. Also killed were Spc. Todd E. Davis, Staff
Sgt. Jonathan K. Dozier, Staff Sgt. Sean M. Gaul, Sgt. Zachary W. McBride and Sgt. Christopher A.
