This Memorial Page Established by-Robert J Quinlan
In Honor Of John A. Quinlan
Our son was KIA in Afghanistan on Feb 18 2007. He was pilot-in command of a Chinook
helicopter. Eight soldiers were killed but 14 survived due the actions of our son by landing the
helicopter "dirty side down" without a fire from the fuel tanks. His family is proud of his 18
years service including 10 years in the USMC. He leaves a wife, three girls. his parents and
his sister with three children. We are so happy to have had John for 36 years and so said for
our loss. He is buried in Arlington one day after his 37 birthday. God bless you son!
